Metal lattice beams | MTR system - Metal lattice beams | MTR system
The MTR System, tested with the Polytechnic of Bari and the La Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Basilicata, consists of a calculation software that involves three types of lattice girders. This system does not include beams, but prefabricated steel beams, which arrive from the production plant on site, to be easily assembled. Subsequently, everything is completed by the assembly of the reinforcement, by the assembly of the floor with relative reinforcement and finally by the casting. The result will be that of a mixed structure, with many more advantages than traditional reinforced concrete.
The MTR System includes both a calculation software and three types of beams. The MTR Software is the structural calculation software dedicated to the design of MTR Beams, specifically modeled on the production of the Metal.Ri company, complying with the current Italian and European technical regulations. The MTR A beams are self-supporting beams during the assembly and casting phase of the deck, with a lower steel bottom. The MTR T beams are beams that, in the assembly and casting phases of the deck, must be formworked and shored, they have no lower bottom and are drowned in the concrete cast in situ. The MTR C beams are self-supporting beams during the assembly and casting phase of the deck, with a lower concrete bottom.
