The project by co.rp arquitectos is based on the intention to repair and consolidate the overlaps and fragments that have occurred over the course of the house's life. The void, the protagonist of House in Chancelaria, which becomes the heart of the new project, connects the social and private areas of the home, providing a solution for the difference in levels
Can an architectural void become the heart of a house?
House in Chancelaria is the result of a desire to breathe new life into an old building and its addition dating back to the 1950s: the space between the two volumes, where people's voices once echoed, is now nothing more than a deafening void which architecture is trying to fill in
