Organic design for Cassina. A collection inspired by the Le Corbusier architecture
Jaime Hayon presents a new collection of objects for Cassina inspired by the organic forms of Le Corbusier's architecture and esprit nouveau paintings: centrepieces, trays and coffee tables in black stained ash with a low-gloss finish
The objects are marked with the Cassina logo and accompanied by their own identity card to guarantee the authenticity of each individual piece. They are also presented with special packaging to highlight the inimitable quality of the project. With this collection Cassina wants to create a tribute to more than 50 years since Le Corbusier's death
The designer wanted to create functional objects for the modern home, such as trays and coffee tables, but also sculptural elements, integrating shapes, light and shade. The challenge was to use only one material and one finish, this restriction turned into an opportunity for him to conceive the true beauty of wood together with the masterly skill of Cassina's carpentry
