Permeable living space. Open Space wooden interiors

The Tato Architects / Yo Shimada studio designs a residence for a family of four in which in the interior, it was possible to feel the mutual presence of the inhabitants, regardless of where they are located

The design of the house is based on the topography of the land, which is located on top of a hill. Nearby houses are rebuilt using the same composition. The two-pitched roofs remain in the same position as the original buildings, the interiors are mostly redesigned

The interior of the house would have to cope with changes in the family's lifestyle, including circulation. A large window was placed on the second floor to illuminate the interior. The relaxing and informal living room is well connected to the surrounding environment

The feeling, being inside the house, is that of being in a tree house. The columns and beams in the interior follow the topography, creating a fluctuation and a certain depth in the interior spaces
