Apartment in Florence

Luxury apartment in the center of Florence. Completely revised 1970s planimetry

Architect Salvatore Spataro designs a luxurious apartment located on the ground floor of a multi-storey residential building on one of the most beautiful waterfronts, completely changing the original planimetric layout dating back to the '70s

The original layout included a central corridor with a finger distribution of the various rooms. The new design completely modifies the original plan, reducing the surface of the corridor and creating new rooms inside the apartment. The living area overlooks the Arno and is characterized by a succession of spaces with arched openings and ceilings decorated with stucco and plaster rosettes

There is a suspended element separating the living room from the kitchen. The furniture is a mix of classic and modern. An elegant appearance is added due to the moldings, arches and stuccoes, accentuated by the presence of a large bookcase that covers the entire wall in front of the windows from the entrance

The black marble table and the white marble kitchen create an interplay of colors and reflections that dialogue with both the white walls and the interior of the arches of a charcoal gray color. The two bedrooms also have ceilings decorated in plaster, and overlook a quiet courtyard, made warmer by the use of curtains and velvet headboards

As for the bathrooms, they feature the colors and contrasts of the black and white marble in the kitchen. The faucets are chromed or gilded, and the sinks are custom-made from gray marble. The lighting had great importance in the project, given the many sources of illumination included
