Wooden cottage on the Norwegian coast. The rooftop salon for a panoramic view of the fjord

In Norway, along a cliff at a distance of about 50 meters from the water, C.F. Moeller has created a solid wooden cottage with large windows that enable you to accumulate heat and fully enjoy the panoramic views of the fjord

Thanks to the large windows that elegantly outline the facades, this cottage made of solid wood by C. F. Moeller studio, not only ensures an optimal supply of heat to the interior, but allows you to fully enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the fjord of this Norwegian archipelago

The modern cottage is located along a cliff on a long and narrow ground, about 50 m from the water. The solid wooden construction on a concrete base replaces two small huts and consists of 4 bedrooms plus two bathrooms, a living room/kitchen and a panoramic lounge, known as a "lantern"

The walls store the heat during the day to release it during the long summer evenings. Sliding or folding glazed facades extend from floor to ceiling, framing the scenery of the surrounding fjords like live paintings

The most particular spaces are certainly the outdoor terrace, characterized by a rocky wall 15 meters high in the background of the east facade of the cottage and the salon carved above the green roof and covered with indigenous plants

Inside a space protruding like a wheelhouse, the salon is built, designed with the desire to create an interior that allows residents to get in touch with the natural environment enjoying the 180-degree view of the archipelago at sunset

A cottage perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment, designed and built to allow guests to feel enveloped in the embrace of all the natural elements that characterize the evocative location
