An evolved construction system for contemporary challenges

Designing and building today means facing increasingly complex needs: safety, living comfort, energy efficiency, and execution speed. The Pontarolo Construction System, based on ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) technology, meets these challenges with a complete and integrated solution for the construction of voids, walls, floors, and roofs. The core of the system is represented by modular formwork in EPS Twinpor™, a high-performance sintered expanded polystyrene that ensures excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties.

Energy efficiency, comfort, and seismic safety

Designed for high-performance buildings - Class A, NZEB, Passive, CasaClima Gold, and Progeas - the Pontarolo system allows for flexible design and compliance with the most stringent standards. Among the advantages: halved construction times, simplified installation, absence of post-seismic damage, and ample architectural freedom. The non-dissipative behavior of the reinforced concrete walls ensures maximum resistance even in the event of a significant seismic event, offering a high guarantee of durability over time.

Pontarolo technologies, from foundation to roof

Each component of the system is designed to integrate structure and insulation:

• IsolCupolex: patented ventilated crawl space with coat insulation, for healthy and thermally efficient foundations.

• Climablock: EPS formwork for load-bearing concrete walls, ideal for earthquake-resistant buildings with high insulation.

• Climabrick: mixed EPS-brick block with class A1 fire reaction, perfect for buildings over 12-24 meters.

• Kaldo: lightweight and high-performance thermal break, integrating insulation and thermal-acoustic performance.

• Ventus: insulated ventilated roof panel, complete with condensation drainage channels and ventilation chamber.

High-performance finishes and protection systems

The system is complemented by solutions for finishing external facades, developed to integrate with Climablock technology. EPS panels and skim coating cycles ensure durability, aesthetics, and fire protection (class B-s1,d0 according to EN 13501-1). These are complemented by restoration and protection systems against impacts and hail, tested in the laboratory and capable of withstanding up to 275 Joules, equivalent to the impact of a hailstone with a diameter of 8.7 cm.
