Contemporary creative office. From 1800's warehouse to dynamic workspace
The Olson Kundig studio designs a new creative production studio for Sarofsky in an old warehouse, revealing the history of the building through the existing structure while preserving the balance between old and new.
In this building dating back to 1880, Sarofsky preserves the balance between old and new, showing the essence of the existing structure, but designing it in such a way as to have a modern space suitable for today's types of comfort.
With the aim of reviving this space intended to be a warehouse, the original enema is restored and an outdoor space of 750 square feet is designed. The newly built walls, the windows, offer both physical and visual access to the courtyard garden, balancing the levels of natural light in the space.
The entrance, reception and meeting area serves as a studio for photography and filming, showing the essentials of the Sarofsky studio's work to visitors as they enter the space. The design of the space is primarily an open-space, offering many flexible working areas, facilitating communication and collaboration between different team members.
