BS Welcome Hub, between abstraction and expressionism

The design of the BS Welcome Hub has three floors: the central area, visible from the outside, the lower floor, a place for collective gathering, and the upper floor, a more private work area

mateoarquitectura designs the second floor of the BS Welcome Hub with the desire to build a deep perspective from the street towards the interior, with a series of spaces that are interconnected , though very different: we find the initial place, the entrance, the access to the other floors, the informal work area and finally the more private spaces, all visible from the outside of the building

Descending, we find ourselves in a large hall for collective events, where the space is marked by the interventions of artist Alberto Peral. Going up, one finds the private work area where the private meeting with the client takes place. The elevated but close view on Diagonal Avenue is the central subject of the scene in the more public spaces

The design is managed by abstraction, with some more expressionist movements: the cladding of the first-floor pillars that twist to encourage the intimacy of adjacent work tables, the slant of the roof that generates a false perspective toward the rear, and so on

At night, a moving image of the globe is projected on the entrance walls, a reminder of the international character of this space
