PICCO Architetti
via Lamarmora, 12 10128 Torino – Italy
PICCO Architects combines the practice and research of projects ranging from urban scale to architecture, designing places for living, working, learning, and leisure.
Since the 2000s, they have strengthened their professional commitment to urban landscape design, redevelopment of areas, and renovation of disused buildings, relying on established professional support and specialist contributions for the environment, structures, systems, and mobility with a methodology focused on architectural quality and complexity. They design living spaces with a strong focus on social and collective housing, paying attention to the delicate balance between morphological quality, comfort, and economic sustainability.
They have designed office complexes, commercial facilities, and innovative production plants in urban areas. The studio is committed to renewing and diversifying the themes it engages with, often in the context of heritage preservation projects, and is interested in interpreting historical values. They have also completed projects such as primary and secondary schools, university facilities, libraries, sports and leisure facilities, and mobility infrastructure. Many of their projects have been featured in exhibitions and publications in Italian and foreign magazines and books.
With the San Filippo Neri College Health and Care Residence in Lanzo Torinese, they won The Plan Award 2019 in the Health category and the In/Arch Piemonte, Liguria, and Valle d’Aosta Prize 2020.
