3daysofdesign 2025: KEEP IT REAL - Design takes over Copenhagen

3daysofdesign 2025 returns to Copenhagen with the theme KEEP IT REAL. From June 18 to 20, 2025, the Danish capital hosts a spread-out festival celebrating authenticity in contemporary design, featuring poetic visual identity, eight thematic districts, and a global community. KEEP IT REAL is an invitation to rediscover depth, humanity, and identity. With immersive design, poetic vision, and a vibrant community, 3daysofdesign 2025 reaffirms itself as a sensory experience open to all.

Districts, iconic visuals, and authentic design.

In an increasingly multifaceted present, 3daysofdesign returns with the theme KEEP IT REAL, an invitation to rediscover authenticity, substance, and identity in the world of contemporary design.
The words of Managing Director, Signe Byrdal Terenziani, are clear:
“Our KEEP IT REAL theme for 2025 honors individual expression and personal experiences… It is an invitation to act while staying true to one's vision. A celebration of the originals—unique in their kind.”

A poetic visual identity

The visual face of this edition is the work of Swedish graphic designer Andreas Samuelsson. His organic forms and vibrant colors, enclosed in curvilinear negative spaces, invite an emotional and intuitive dialogue with the works: an inner landscape open to personal interpretations.
Samuelsson, known for collaborations with Apple, Nike, Hermes, Aesop, and The New York Times, transforms the essential into magnetic.

The manifesto: authentic creativity

Samuelsson describes the free creative process: "The strength of a blank sheet lies in the freedom to fill it with a sincere visual idea." A process of subtraction that leads to expressive simplicity, based on human experiences, intuitions, and perceptions.
His message to young designers is clear: maintain inner truth, cultivate simplicity, create from an authentic place.

A spread festival in the Districts of Copenhagen

For the 2025 edition, 3daysofdesign expands into eight Design Districts, each with its own thematic focus in line with the concept KEEP IT REAL.
The city transforms into a large design stage, with dedicated routes and reference points called i-Points, which serve as informational hubs and meeting places.

Among these, Holmen explores the theme of Transformations, with the i-Point at the Royal Danish Academy. Christianshavn focuses on Crafts & Materials, based at Kanalhuset. Amerikakaj delves into Atmospheres, welcoming visitors at the Ocean Saloon.

The district of Nordhavn highlights the theme of Communities, while Kultur addresses new Perspectives, with a meeting point at Bryghuspladsen. Frederiksstaden, one of the historical hearts of the city, reflects on the concept of Authenticity and has the Designmuseum Danmark as its reference point.

Rosengård is dedicated to Insights, with the i-Point at Cinemateket, while Kongens Nytorv - a true urban crossroads - advocates for Connections, with headquarters in the square of the same name.

Each district hosts events, installations, and talks that visually and conceptually translate the theme of authenticity, accompanying visitors in an immersive, collective, and personal experience at the same time.

Visual Allies: Leica Photo Walk & Competition

In collaboration with Leica Nordics, the festival includes themed photo walks and a photo competition, designed to sensitively document the dialogue between design and urban life.
