The clients of the project are a father and son looking for a shared house, which does not mean giving up their privacy and spatial independence: the result is Paco House, a unique space that can be shaped according to their daily needs.

Sharing and Independence

Paco House, designed by Zooco Studio to accommodate various types of family configurations, is far from the traditional house stereotype. An integrative space brings together all common areas while allowing connection to some private areas at the same time.

Common spaces and private open space
The layout of the house is simple: a duplex connected by a central void. On the ground floor, you will find the common spaces such as the living room, kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms. Upstairs, there is the son's apartment, an open space with common areas and a large terrace.

Natural Raw Materials

The modeling and design of spaces are strictly carried out using two unique materials, oak and black marble, simplifying the aesthetic language of the house and showcasing the dignity of natural raw materials, without anything artificial.

Sliding Systems

The materiality common to all spaces brings serenity and fluidity to the home, reinforcing the unique and integrative character of the project. To offer flexibility in configuring the spaces of Paco House, the architects design sliding systems along the entire upper floor, an architectural solution that can be found in interior design projects with similar features.

Wood and stone

As a communication element between the floors, we designed a floating staircase, as light as possible, to accurately enhance the fluidity between spaces and the integral perception of the house. All design elements, except for the sanitary ware and plumbing fixtures, have been custom-designed, always starting from the premise of the common materiality of wood and stone.
