The Rebyl is the result of the ambitious hotel transformation project that has involved the historic women's school into 7500 square meters of hotel with a light, somewhat provocative, inclusive, and extremely comfortable style

Past, present, and future united in a unique style

In a tribute to the 1922 Art Deco building located in the heart of the city on the iconic Vierdaagseplein, the Amsterdamse School is brought back to life in 2024 through the project by Apto Architects in collaboration with Odyssey Hotel Group and Lingotto. In Apto's typical spirit of creating "next-generation spaces" with its architecture and interior design projects, The Rebyl combines past, present, and future in a unique style

Inclusivity and integration with the context. The hotel opens up to the city

One of the focuses of the renovation and interior design project of Rebyl is inclusivity and integration with the context. Following the intervention, the building once again becomes a point of reference for Nijmegen, a landmark that opens its spaces to the city community: the event areas, the gym, and the Madame Liberty restaurant. The latter, created in a mix of refined style and promotion of environmental awareness, is characterized by a central stone counter, tables made of recycled denim, and lush vegetation

Modern and vibrant hospitality intertwining with history

The adaptive reuse of Apto is a "statement of progress and creativity, rooted in the city's history." The tall ceilings of the hallways, the arched doors, and the tiles with floral decorations, among other elements, identify the Art Deco style of the building, are meticulously restored and integrated into the new design. The result is a modern and vibrant hospitality that intertwines with history, honoring it while inspiring new generations

The hall between vitality and warmth and the loft-style layout of the rooms

Upon entering Rebyl, you are greeted by the hall that combines vitality and warmth: wood, color, and the unique system of suspended and iridescent lighting create an unforgettable impact. The design of the rooms optimizes space and natural light by offering a loft-style layout with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings, spacious fluid areas, and accents of pastel colors
