Humo is a flagship store project in Madrid specializing in smoked paprika, with the intention of also developing a brand

La Vera paprika stands out for its unique drying and smoking technique using oak and holm wood, which lasts 8 - 10 days. This product's distinctiveness becomes the guiding concept for the project by Zooco Design for Humo store

The store's objective is to serve as a laboratory where understand the process of paprika production and its history. This is why the design draws inspiration from the wood used in the smoking process: the logs are represented by vertical cylinders that also serve as the store's display units. The same circular shape is replicated as voids in the wooden ceiling, housing the store's lighting

The space is compact, measuring only 24 square meters. Two walls, entirely mirrored, become the imaginary axis around which the store seemingly duplicates its spaces, aided by the design of the counters and ceiling semicircles, which find their completion in the reflected image
