Interior V+ Lounge in Hangzhou. Water and infinity become design

The V+ Lounge in Hangzhou is the third branch of the brand in China. Overlooking the West Lake, its interior design captures fluidity and reflective surfaces from the panorama in a unique effect

Translate the lake water into design

Born from a collaboration with Studio Waffles, the V+ Lounge is one of the dramatic interior design projects realized by LYCS Architecture. The building is located in a strategic position in the city: on a corner lot between the streets of the most vibrant commercial area around the lake and less than 100 meters from the largest Apple flagship store in Asia. The project's concept is inspired by translating the lake water into design

Curved shapes, glossy surfaces, and lighting

The interior design project replicates "aquatic" experiences through curved shapes, glossy and translucent surfaces, and lighting: underwater, on water, and the surface of the element itself. The underwater scenario unfolds on the fifth floor of the building. An infinity of mirrors and sinuous surfaces composed of slats that filter light reproduce the sensation of visiting the underwater world in the rooms and corridors

Bringing the blue horizon inside the space

The sixth floor of the V+ Lounge instead revolves around the concept of infinity. Floor-to-ceiling windows and reflective surfaces bring the blue horizon inside the space. Here, the use of white recalls the wake of a boat on the surface of the lake. The exquisite glossy black floor creates unexpected reflections of lights and spaces
