Loft VNG 903: a poetic journey between memory and modernity

A loft that tells stories of travels, memories, and visions. Loft VNG 903 combines the spirit of modernism with the strength of industrial architecture, transforming every space into a suspended experience between past and future, between intimacy and sharing.

A hero between past and future

The project signed by SKULL studio tells the story of a traveler who transforms his life from a globetrotter to a explorer of time and space. Inspired by the memory of his grandmother and the pioneering figure of pilot Eliška Junková, the environment of Loft VNG 903 becomes a three-dimensional narrative. Here, the design is a fusion of post-industrial architecture and modernism of the First Republic. It's not just about forms and functions: the central concept is "co-creating," an approach that interprets interior design projects as experiences capable of uniting memory and innovation, roots and visions.

The soul of space

The heart of the loft is a large open space: a kitchen with a bar island, a communal table that transforms into a conference space, projections that animate the windows overlooking the vintage car garage. It is a fluid place, alternating between representation and intimacy, moments of socializing and private club atmospheres. Sliding curtains allow for redefining the volumes, maintaining the feeling of freedom that characterizes the space. The openness thus becomes an identifying feature: the loft is a living organism, ready to welcome meetings, ideas, and creative contaminations.

Experiences between intimacy and sharing

The project operates on multiple levels. The raised area hosts a suspended gallery that conceals closets, services, and a guest bed, offering discreet views of the environment below. The lounge, with soft sofas and a geometric library, interacts with large windows that connect the interior and exterior. Here, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed: a red neon light recalls the nighttime glows of metropolises, while the freestanding bathtub placed between the bedroom and the living room becomes an aesthetic and provocative gesture. It is the space of a contemporary aesthete, a place where daily life merges with the pleasure of personal rituals.

A language of materials and visions

The Loft VNG 903 is permeated with suggestions from the golden age of motor racing and the energy of the twentieth century. Modernism, futurism, and functionalism intertwine, celebrating clean lines and primary materials such as metal, concrete, glass, wood, and stone. But the focus is on the present: recycling and upcycling become contemporary elegance, with translucent panels made of regenerated plastic filtering light in hallways and bathrooms. It is a statement of design courage, where design never stops reinventing itself, just like our traveler, who continues to seek new horizons accompanied by the warm sound of jazz.
