Three friends honor tradition through new tourist accommodations

Mileca Sciù Sciù is born from the vision of three friends, Giovanni who works in a bank, Davide owner of a construction company, and architect Antonino Bilello who designed the project. An ancient dilapidated building in the historic center of Sciacca catches their attention and, thanks to their ability to see its potential, is transformed into a complex of mini-apartments for tourism through a significant two-year restoration. Mileca and Sciù Sciù are two games that were played in the streets of Sicily in the 1980s; the three friends honor the tradition by using them as the name for the new tourist accommodations

Ecological Residences with Nearly Zero Emissions

The house renovation, wich is located at the beginning of Via Friscia known by locals as "Strata Longa," is significant: the roof and floors had collapsed, and the building was completely inaccessible. During the courageous recovery work, "cisterns, underground spaces, and granaries" are found and enhanced; the use of recycled or natural materials, along with ecosustainable construction techniques and the installation of a solar panel system with a storage battery make the Mileca Sciù Sciù ecological residences nearly zero-emission

The aesthetics of the new holiday homes, born from the passionate design of architect Bilello and the meticulous work of Davide Puccio and his craftsmen, is a mix of refined design and Sicilian essence told by the stones that form the perimeter walls and the pastel colors of the iron ceilings. Each unit offers a living area with a bar, bedroom, and bathroom; high-speed internet connection, air conditioning, emotional showers and massage area, hydro-massage tubs located in the ancient barn on the lower level and in a small cave on the upper level constitute the modern comforts that make the experience of tradition luxurious at Mileca Sciù Sciù
