More functional layout and renewed aesthetics

The Galleria Cavour apartment is the latest of architect Andrea Trebbi's interior design projects. Located on the 5th floor of the residential complex, it offers splendid views of Bologna's historic center, including the famous 2 Towers and the Basilica of San Luca. The intervention involves starting with the complete removal of existing finishes and partitions, allowing for the implementation of a more functional layout and aesthetics suitable for our times

Light, lightness, and harmony of white

The color white brings light, lightness, and harmony to these interiors, dominating the scene that is warmed by the wooden floor and the comfort of optimized organization. Removing all differences in flooring, vertical and horizontal partitions, wallpapers, old lacquered furniture, the intervention is dedicated to the creation of slatted diaphragms and full-height doors that conceal the service areas in a new conception of a wider and continuous space

The new space distribution

The two bedrooms are reintroduced, as in the previous layout, but in an optimized configuration; the two bathrooms and various hallways from the original layout are redistributed to create a hallway with multiple wall compartments, a laundry room, and a full bathroom. The kitchen is opened up towards the living room and the entrance, becoming an integral part of the living area while still maintaining a level of privacy
