NEXT architects makes The elastic perspective based on the principle of Moebius' ring, a single surface that can only exist as a three-dimensional object. Because of its structure, the shape of the sculpture is difficult to perceive: each perspective generates a different image, related to the local artistic plane
The elastic perspective: a path which becomes a sculpture, between continuity and infinity
The project The elastic perspective consists of a circular staircase which leads the visitor to a height that frees the view of the horizon: a continuous path projected to the infinity
The continuous movement of the proposed path is reminiscent of the infrastructural surroundings of the road and streetcar track. But unlike the streetcar stop, which represents the beginning or end of a journey, the path of the staircase in The elastic perspective is seemingly endless
