VSHD Design, an interior architecture studio based in Dubai, carries out the project of a luxury residence within the Four Seasons Orlando Resort. The result is a contemporary-style home that evokes Tuscan farmhouses.
The challenge for VSHD Design, as in several of its interior design projects, was to preserve some existing structural elements while maintaining the client's vision of a modern home that would be luxurious yet warm. The client envisioned a kind of hotel-style boutique to provide the family with privacy and comfort. To achieve this challenging balance, the Tuscan-style exterior facade was modernized.
While Tuscan architecture in its purest form embraces natural and rustic elements, the abundant use of materials such as bricks and wrought iron has been avoided in favor of a modern interpretation. Gray bricks positioned on the facade pay homage to Tuscan influences. Black frames of large windows provide contrast to the white walls of the facade, culminating in a modern Mediterranean style.
Inside, the wooden structure is left exposed, with added black metal details that give an industrial effect. Furthermore, continuity between interior and exterior is ensured by the Carrara marble floor. The first floor houses the main bedroom with direct access to the pool, emphasizing the concept of an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. A small spiral staircase leads to a gym on the upper level complete with a steam bath.
The atmosphere and services of the wellness center extend to the 6 superior suites of the house, half of which offer private external access. Each self-sufficient suite features a unique decorative style and is equipped with a mini kitchen, a small pantry, and a spa-inspired bathroom.
