The house, with its sinuous morphology, integrates seamlessly into the natural landscape: steep dirt and gravelly slopes along with beautiful rock formations embrace the Xerolithi project, named after the site's rocky feature

Sinas architects' main goal is to integrate the house as much as possible with its natural environment, characterized by large and beautiful rock formations. Xerolhites are the most important existing element, small stone retaining walls created for the purpose of landscaping the land

These walls, generally no more than a meter high, formed flat strips of land parallel to the slope and extended along the entire surface of the slope. The designers envisioned the main facades of the house as xerolithi, starting from the bottom and gradually developing sufficient height: the walls approaching and receding from the slope, independently of each other, forming spaces between them

The traditional bamboo pergola with its rough wooden beams is visible along the entire length of the house, inside and outside. The beams follow the sinuous morphology, like the vertebrae of a long spinal cord, and the roof, covered with earth and vegetation, is imitating the natural landscape, while making the house almost invisible. The doors and windows are wooden and plain with a light olive color, and the main exterior walls are stone without mortar for joints
