Interior design of Lunar restaurant, an oasis of refuge from the frenzy

Lunar is a modern Chinese restaurant with oriental design, aimed at conveying a deep sense of comfort and peace, a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Seasonality of elements and harmony of the environment

Sò Studio creates a space attentive to beauty: an atmosphere in harmony with the oriental design inside the Lunar restaurant, located in an independent villa in the heart of Shanghai. The restaurant pays homage to the eponymous Chinese calendar, whose habits are essential for the culinary experience that embraces seasonality.

Comfort of the architectural structure

The restaurant's light is soft, conveying a sense of comfort that combines with the scent of tea. Climbing up the stairs, a paved path of pebbles leads to the second floor of Lunar. A unique hanging frame blends into the architectural structure of the space, guiding to the dining area and a private room.

Flowers and Zen touch in interior design

The collaboration with florist and designer Maggie Mao adds an orange hue to the space: the small and delicate decoration brings a touch of zen in simplicity. The most important material throughout the space is the matte surface that, without reflecting excessively, conveys calm and beauty through texture and touch.
