Yanlord Clubhouse in Shenzhen is part of a larger project for a new industrial city. Taking into account the ecosystem and cultural context of local industries, Studio CL3 worked to create an experiential and versatile commercial space aimed at young people.

Based on the consumption habits of young people, the interior design of Yanlord Clubhouse focuses on an elegant and captivating visual presentation where coordination and organization of the different functional areas freely connected prevail. As part of the portfolio of innovative interior design projects by CL3 Architect Limited, the Clubhouse aims to create an emotional and intuitive atmosphere to adapt to the diversified lifestyles of young visitors. This design concept has been applied to all functional spaces.

Convivial spaces and business

The café can accommodate about 60 people. The design team chose natural peacock green as the main tone, furnishing the space with a combination of furniture to meet different functional needs, three-seater booths, four-seater sofas, and a bar counter with stools. Considering the flexibility of the layout needs, folding glass panels were used as partitions, making the café a multifunctional communication area for networking events and parties.

Natural and urban elements intertwine in the design

Shenzhen is an international city surrounded by mountains and sea. Designers have emphasized the city's natural and cultural notes by transforming them into design elements and integrating them into the overall space of the venue. The overlapping service counter boxes, and the unconventional arrangements of aluminum ceiling beams, aligned vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, the semicircular area of the terrace floor: all reflect in an abstract and specific way the city's image (scattered tall and low buildings, interconnected road networks).

A Multifunctional Clubhouse

A variety of support spaces have been created in the Yanlord Clubhouse, such as the multifunctional kitchen and the recreational room that serve for small meetings and cooking classes. The outdoor pool next to the café features a wall with geometric structures that abstractly form a spectacular view of the mountains, and a palette of white and peacock green that together present a gradient visual effect. The wall serves a relaxing function for the minds of the users who are spontaneously immersed in artistic thinking, balancing the hectic pace of urban life.
