Attic converted into an office floor. White walls and choreographic wooden columns

Vladimir Radutny Architects transforms an attic into an office floor, making use of fascinating elements such as rough masonry walls, wooden structure and plenty of natural light and placing them side by side with white walls and well-designed partitions

The attic, located in Chicago offers a view of elevated trains and the city's most iconic architecture and customers immediately considered it an ideal space for their new law firm. The renovated floor features a choreographic configuration of poles, new partitions, openings and circulation

The white walls reflect light and absorb shadows. The spaces that need more privacy are located in more secluded places. In some cases, openings are cut out in the new walls, allowing the partners and their support teams to work directly

The openings, which also serve as visual conduits and facilitate the entry of sunlight into all spaces are highlighted by the use of blackened steel.  The use of ivy emphasizes the heart of the office and separates the work space from the kitchenette
