The historic town hall in Tønder, Denmark, is expanded by SLETH architects through a transparent curvilinear structure, incorporated in a significant historical context, whose forms echo those of the surrounding landscape
The design concept was a desire for dialogue between the structural heaviness of the old building and the lightness and delicacy of the new. The aim was not to create competition between the two buildings, but to make them work together and complement each other
