Steffen Welsch Architects renovates an old house following the basic principles of Feng Shui, which naturally embody the principles of good design, such as facilitating the entry of sunlight, air and ventilation

The old and new are separated by a courtyard, which promotes lighting and ventilation. The expansion makes room for a studio and the curved wooden wall, enclosing a shop welcomes visitors upon arrival

Colours and materials are only gradually revealed. The wooden floor of the dining room continues into the adjoining lounge, providing a sense of calm. The upstairs rooms are more exposed to the sun, wind, rain and the landscape in the distance
