The castle of Tossa de Montbui, located on a hill to the southwest of the town of Igualada 620 metres above sea level, once a strategic point of military defence since the Middle Ages, is being renovated by the Meritxell Inaraja Arquitecta studio

For many years the castle, with its rectangular shape, rounded corners and two-metre thick walls of irregular limestone had been deserted and seriously deteriorated. Since 1967, several organizations have come forward to carry out various renovation works

The new renovation proposal undertakes several historical investigations to consolidate the existing walls and to build elements with a clear historical reference that will allow people to climb to the highest part of the tower to admire the view
