Atelier suasua transforms Voyage Coffee in a bar with a fresh and bright atmosphere: to do this, the structure is strengthened by allowing the use of large windows. The area around the counter requires a lower height, and that is why a new system of reinforced concrete frames is inserted
Voyage Coffee 798, a project that brings space back to its origins
The starting point of Voyage Coffee 798 is the original concept of the brand, to guarantee its customers a good coffee while being surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere
The new structure provides a contrast between the higher and lower spaces. In the same building, on the other side of the wall, there is a bicycle store: the demolition of the load-bearing wall and the replacement of it with a steel structure makes the space more fluid
This way, customers can enter from the entrance of the café or the bike store, and they can have the interesting experience of drinking a coffee while watching the bike repairs. The upper floor, on the other hand, is left as open space. The ground outside of the courtyard has been entirely poured with concrete, to make sure there are no passages between the inside and outside
Thanks to the full-height glazing in the facade, the spaces appear even more continuous. In the spring and summer seasons, the tree provides shade to the entire courtyard, creating a space that is naturally ideal for an outdoor cafe. The project does not contain any special or eye-catching design elements, but an environment where interaction and the ability to relax is encouraged has been designed
