The existing metal structure and the construction with concrete panels did not allow adequate energy efficiency, moreover, it was not compliant and with the French windproof regulations of 2005, so it was decided to build a new house with low energy consumption with thermodynamic heating
Extension in France. A project to convert into energy efficiency
A house dating back to the 70s, located near the sea in Morbihan, is demolished and rebuilt using the new standards of 'energy efficiency' and using ecological building materials to convert it into a bioclimatic house
In its place, a bioclimatic house was built, made of a structure in wood and concrete. The house consists of a basement built into the slope, a mezzanine floor with terraces to the west and south and a third floor above. The main facade faces south-west with a tympanum overlooking the Gulf
The wooden frame 145/45 with grey painted wood cladding is insulated with cellulose wadding on which the plasterboard is fixed. The partition walls of the lower and upper floors are covered with gypsum tiles that ensure temperature control and reduce the use of metal structure in order to minimize the magnetic field caused by electrical equipment
The ceilings are insulated with 300mm rock wool. Particular attention has been paid to the impermeability of walls and ceilings thanks to the application of a protective film that prevents the occurence of condensation
