Mountain house built on a slope. Local wooden tile cladding

The GEZA gri and zucchi architecture studio designs a detached house in Hohenthurn, Austria, perched on a hillside, extending from east to west, with full-height windows that open onto panoramic views

The design of the Austrian holiday home is inspired by the typology of the mountain house, both in terms of materials and design. The house lies on a reinforced concrete base, extending from east to west, parallel to the contour line

The structure is mixed, made of reinforced concrete and solid wood, and the entire building is clad in local wood tiles, including the two-pitch roof, so that everything looks like a whole area

To the south there is a balcony from which you can admire the mountain landscape, which underlines the direct relationship of the building with the surrounding landscape. A distinctive feature of the project are the full-height window openings with aluminium-clad frames
