Milan-based Zarcola Architetti's design for the Troppotondo arena was created in collaboration with Francisco Rodriguez arquitectos and takes its inspiration from aboriginal Maloca structures

The structure consists of a rotating repetition of wooden frames fastened together by perpendicular connections. The size of the individual elements of the theatre is designed around the modularity of the four-metre commercial timber, and used entirely so that no waste is generated
