The house, located a few metres from the edge of the forest in the Czech municipality of Nové Hamry is designed by NEW HOW architects with an aerodynamic shape featuring a grey color, which echoes the surrounding nature, the shades of the trees, granite and basalt rocks

The house close to the tops of the spruce trees almost seems to have been swallowed up by the forest. The grayish color of the facade which is covered with aluminum, contributes to the camouflage of the architecture with nature

From a formal point of view, the building features an aerodynamic but angular shape, in which the classical elements, such as the roof and the wall, blend together and leave a clear separation between them. The inclination of the roof is quite steep and was designed according to the winter snow load

On the inside, instead of the usual two floors, three were designed, each with its own character. On the highest level is a small study or a place to take refuge, where a square window frames the surrounding treetops and the sky

The sleeping area is on the second level, while the social area is on the lower level, with the kitchen and a common meeting place. The entire technical area is located in the basement which is partially recessed, and the house is already equipped with connection points for the photovoltaic system on the roof to provide self-sufficient energy living
