The Loft House is the office building commissioned by the well-known Finnish construction company EKE, which best reflects the company's characteristics and values: honesty, simplicity and prestige

Parviainen Architects' unprejudiced play with contrasts in The Loft House has a deeper meaning than just the scenic effect it produces. It is an architecture that best reflects the experience of a company of over 60 years, drawing from both the past and the future

The concrete and bricks used in the building reflect the strong history and structure of the EKE company, with warm oak balancing the material palette that is emblematic of EKE ("eke" means "oak" in Swedish). From a distance, the facades appear punctual and clear, while up close the graphic composition of the windows and the raised masonry give more depth to the building, which immediately feels warmer and more welcoming

At the main entrance, the simplified structure is broken up by an imposing sculptural section. Beautiful old trees on the grounds were saved by creating a welcoming entrance plaza for the building. Behind the glass wall, there is a lobby space that spans several stories in height, drawing the attention of those passing by and arriving in the building. The large spaces that have been divided by large glass surfaces are also a reference to EKE's future-oriented attitude
