Dimion Tower: Redefining urban living in Buenos Aires

The Dimion Tower was designed trying to incorporate a building massing that dialogues effectively with the environment and responds to regulations in a positive and purposeful way. Similarly, a morphology was designed to produce a novel experience in the way of inhabiting the city and with a materiality that responds to all these premises, in a concrete, explicit and expressive way

Sustainable urban fabric and unique inhabitant experience

Designed by Studio Forcinito Arquitectos and built by Dimion Real Estate, the Dimion Tower is conceived with an in-depth study of the city, its growth and urban configuration, respecting the built environment, with the intention of participating positively in the consolidation of a sustainable fabric in urban and architectural terms. Likewise, Studio Forcinito Arquitectos always has as a premise the production of spaces that benefit the future users of its projects, seeking to generate a unique experience in the act of living

Morphological and symbolic significance

Designed during the period of transition from the Urban Planning Code(previous) to the Urban Code (current), the volumetry responds to a typological combination. The volumes between the medianeras respond to the maximum permitted heights, dissimilar between the two streets that define the lot. At the corner, the tower detaches from the medianeras forming an independent body that respects the maximum heights of a free perimeter volume. This consolidates the urban profile while the tower, free of constraints, constitutes a landmark in the neighborhood that materializes the corner as a morphological and symbolic value

Geometric materiality and urban scale

The materiality of the building responds to the geometric premises described. The basement generates a concrete skin perforated in irregular shapes, allowing for the necessary openings and providing scale to the urban complex. The tower rises crystalline above the perforated slabs, highlighting its vertical design.  The building features premium units of 3 and 4 rooms, with finishes and interior design atypical in the neighborhood. Facilities of varying scope have been designed, including an indoor heated pool on the top level, a multipurpose room, kids club, and gymnasium

Enhancing urban living experience

The designers' intention was to escape preconceptions and simply meet the inevitable commercial requirements of a residential building in Buenos Aires. The swimming pool and multipurpose hall function, therefore, as the completion of the building and the whole act of living in the city. They produce a gathering space, incorporating themselves into the urban environment through the privileged views of the upper floors
