Serrano Monjaraz Arquitectos design the Earth House, like all their other projects, to be suitable for the environment and compliant with the most modern and stringent sustainable design regulations.
Earth House. Km 0 earthen architecture with high energy performance
Earth House in Mexico City was designed with the intention of being in harmony with the environment through sustainable construction techniques and high energy performance
The construction technology of the Earth House is in compressed earth blocks (CEB) made with soil from the same plot: an economical and energy-efficient system, resistant to fire and pests; it already provides a high degree of soundproofing, in addition to being durable, structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing
The CEB technology provides complete architectural freedom and uses readily available, non-toxic natural raw material: the earth from the plot itself. Compared to other bio-architecture systems, it is more flexible and does not affect the width of the walls. The soil was compressed with 3% cement and 7% lime
Earth House is an example of smart use of all the resources offered by the project site and total respect for the surrounding environment. In its design, all the guidelines of the complex in which it is located have been followed, and the elements that characterize its urbanization such as natural stone and exposed concrete in shades of gray, black and white. The gardens around the house have been integrated into the surrounding natural environment
