Fabian Tan Architect
Fabian Tan graduated with honors from the University of South Australia in 1997, where he obtained his Bachelor of Architecture. Since then, he has worked at established architecture firms in Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, handling a wide range of projects including residential, institutional, commercial, and interior developments for 11 years. During those years, he also passionately pursued other forms of expression that led to the creation of artworks, furniture, and installations. This experience served as a catalyst for the establishment of his own studio, Fabian Tan Architect, in 2012. The studio has completed several notable houses that have garnered international attention and have been favorably published across Asia and Europe. His approach to architecture has been characterized by evolution and flexibility. The ideas that form during the conception of a project never impose anything on the site. Constantly, conventions are reevaluated, resulting in individual variations of concepts tailored to a specific context.
