Filippo Bombace,  was born in Rome and there he graduated in architecture with full marks and honours.

In 1990 he founded the Oficina de Arquitectura, a project office operating in the field of architecture and design, fully documented in Italian and international specialized publications, interviews and documentaries.

The long and careful analysis on the expressive possibilities of the materials, on the evocative and ‘compositive’ qualities of the light, the study of the execution technics and the furniture design, characterize his activity during these last years.

His works are published on the most important field headlines.

He places his profession side by side with love and practice for other artistic subjects: photography, design and in particular music

Historical location, new home but... nonsonopoicosìcambiata

The client of this project is on her second operation with Filippo Bombace's studio: a apartment in the center of Rome from which to admire the dome of St. Peter is transformed into her new home which, despite the ancient context, emphasizes the contemporary spirit. Thus, the intervention by the client herself is born, entitled "nonsonopoicosìcambiata" (I'm not so changed)

Harmony between style and functionality in a contemporary penthouse

The need to rethink the new home according to a contemporary, clean, and natural language, but not exaggerated, guided the renovation of a beautiful penthouse for a couple. The main goal was to create a sober and elegant spatiality, respecting the existing layout of the living and sleeping areas, with some specific improvements.

In Rome, in a valuable building from the 1970s, the simple but effective geometric sequence of a line, a semicircle, and a quarter circle that characterizes the external composition of the building is chosen as the layout for the renovation of the home for a couple with children: Straight Curve House
