Four families with a shared vision. Redesigning a police station to an environmentally green and sustainable cohousing

Four families of friends had a vision in common: a collaborative housing project, within biking distance of the city center, with shared functions and a garden, that also maintained appropriate privacy for each household. A former police station in Deurne (Antwerp) offered them the space they sought for the co-housing they dreamed of

11 poles and a pentagonal plant for the ecological house that floats half a meter above the ground

To limit the impact of the Ecological Holiday Home project on the surrounding natural environment, it is possible to rely on 11 poles supporting the construction, its organic shapes and the use of natural materials
