The building, white in colour is located in a historical context where different realities and functions coexist: two industrial buildings and a convent that has transformed its function from religious into a hospital. The architect Aires Mateus designs, within a historical block where different periods and identities coexist, a building capable of communicating with the convent and neighboring industrial buildings, in a wise and elegant way

The block unites the existing buildings both vertically and horizontally, inside there are public functions such as an auditorium and an atrium which, in addition to being places of encounter and passage, become part of a new identity
