A visionary campus designed by aoe that combines technology and sustainability, local culture and science fiction imagery, shaping an immersive and interconnected learning environment, where leadership and new educational habits are cultivated

University between industrial memory and future vision

In the heart of Beijing, the Deloitte University Asia Pacific China campus emerges as a new independent location within Deloitte's global network. Designed by the aoe studio, the complex represents a synthesis of industrial memory and technological innovation. The designers led the entire process, from conception to realization, creating spaces that reflect four pillars: future technology, green sustainability, cultural roots, and memory of the original site. Among the most emblematic educational architecture projects in the region, this campus aims to be an innovative learning platform, capable of generating meaningful connections between individuals, time, and space.

Futuristic design merges with Chinese tradition

Stepping into the campus is like entering a futuristic space station. The atrium opens up with a three-story height, large screens, and bright installations, creating a visual impact that blends classic elegance and high-tech. At the center, a large lantern suspended in translucent ETFE dominates, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Chinese lantern, which, together with wooden steps and iridescent cushions, creates a communal space. The entrance is enriched with symbolic details, such as the "perfect match installation" and the "Magnetic Wall," guiding towards the Deloitte Story and the tree of cultural values, an icon of the Smart Green Campus vision.

Dynamic educational spaces cultivate leadership

The educational journey unfolds along corridors that evoke spatial tunnels, leading to over 40 independent classrooms designed for small groups and interactive and collaborative sessions. Each environment is designed to stimulate active participation, through discussions and consultations. The innovative core is the Future Classroom, an isolated and immersive space equipped with advanced multimedia technologies, allowing participants to experience new educational languages. The architecture here becomes a pedagogical tool, shaping tailored experiences for future leaders.

Spatial connections between technology, culture, and well-being

The panoramic walkways of the atrium connect the various functions of the campus, promoting interaction and sharing. On one side, the elegant foyer of the Grand Ballroom showcases an aesthetic fusion of futuristic design and local symbolism, with dragon scale lighting and undulating patterns. On the other side, a bar and a restaurant themed around the cosmos transform the communal experience into a sensory journey. The entire complex reflects a new idea of education: not just the transmission of skills, but inspiration and enhancement of human potential, in line with an open and forward-thinking cultural vision.
