Gentle Signs to make sustainability desirable and part of everyday life. Concept for a narrative space

Gentle Signs is an exhibition composed of furnished environments, a show cooking area, and a hydroponic garden. The exhibitors and furniture accessories, together with the products of the ceramics company Kale, the client of the project, embrace the philosophy of the nudge: a gentle approach that aims to influence people's choices towards sustainability

#CareForYourWorld is a group of actions coordinated by Kale that embrace sustainability by pursuing the principle that significant change begins with individual behavior in everyday life. Consistently, the architectural studio Paolo Cesaretti Arch- starts thinking in terms of reducing environmental impact from the concept phase of Gentle Signs, designing a narrative space based on sustainable solutions

Starting from the concept of the exhibition volume, it is constructed using a lightweight modular wooden frame measuring 100x360 cm, making it easy to transport, handle, and assemble. The walls are opaque up to a height of 240 cm, and the rest consists of only the structure and fabric. This solution saves one-third of the construction materials, reducing labor hours, electricity consumption, transportation emissions, and waste during dismantling. The structures and display elements are reusable and made from 100% recycled and/or circular materials. The main materials used are natural pine wood and raw fabric

At the center of the exhibition, there is a ziggurat made up of hundreds of Sansevieria plants (Dracaena Trifasciata): an evergreen indoor plant known for its ability to purify the air by removing benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, and xylene from the environment. Additionally, a family of visual icons identifies the areas of sustainability represented by #CareForYourWorld. The symbols representing various realms, World/Home/Individual, are displayed on the external walls of the booth, establishing a bond of empathy with the visitors
