Merkez Ankara Showroom: continuous spaces flooded with light

The Merkez Ankara, a residential and office complex, hosts the Merkex Ankara Showroom: over 2,000 square meters of sales offices and exhibition spaces, interspersed with small indoor and outdoor gardens where you can take a stroll

Nature integrates into the showroom's architecture

The Merkex Ankara Showroom serves as a dedicated sales space for the architectural complex Merkez Ankara, which houses both residential and office spaces, including small gardens. The initial idea of the Turkish firm Yazgan Design Architecture was to integrate nature into the architecture.

Natural light floods the space

Horizontal bands of green separate the exhibition spaces, arranged in succession: each area has its specific function, although the transparency of the walls allows to maintain a visual continuity and a global view of the spaces. The extensive use of glass ensures atriums flooded with natural light, capable of reaching every corner of the building and blurring the distinction between interior and exterior.

The sequential organization of environments

Starting from the atrium, the spaces gradually change their function while maintaining a visual transparency: the entrance and waiting room precede an exhibition area, where sales representatives provide the most relevant information, leading to the display of a fully furnished model apartment.

Focus on space structuring

The eastern side of the building houses circulation cores and service areas, while the western facade accommodates administrative offices: this allows the central space to be dedicated to exhibition and gardens. The double-height space of the atrium and exhibition area contrasts with all the other spaces distributed over two floors.

A fabric wraps around the building like a shell

A folded shell on the building is one of the distinctive features of the project: besides being an architectural and aesthetic device, it has a purely functional aspect, protecting the interiors from the sun and strongly characterizing the Merkex Ankara Showroom both during the day and at night.
