In the heart of Milan, the apartment designed by Architect Nicola Salami interprets the fluid language of Zaha Hadid through a project of custom interiors and furnishings that combines technology, comfort, and material refinement.

Between architecture and integrated design

Within the complex Le Residenze Hadid, designed by Zaha Hadid in the CityLife district of Milan, the intervention by Nicola Salami Architect concerns the internal redistribution of an apartment located on the sixth floor of the building "61CityLife Hadid". The project stems from the desire to enhance the original structure through a new organization of spaces and an integrated design capable of interacting with the sinuous forms of the parent architecture, blending functionality and beauty in a balance of harmony and continuity.

Precious minimalism and formal continuity

The aim of the project is to create an environment characterized by a precious minimalism, where the modeling of volumes becomes a key element. Curved walls and furnishings merge into a visual continuum that eliminates any fragmentation, providing a perception of fluidity and movement. The custom-made furnishings, made by MeCubo - Lissone, are designed as an integral part of the walls: the wardrobes follow the rounded edges seamlessly and integrate technological functions such as controls for lighting and fixtures, confirming the sartorial approach of the project.

Materiality and light in constant dialogue

The material palette reflects the essence of the building: pre-finished teak floors laid in a continuous pattern interact with the external finishes of the terraces, while the internal surfaces are treated with Bulgari White Wabi Cement by HD Surface, which provides a soft and contemporary texture. The bathrooms stand out for the refinement of the selected marbles: "Olive Sunset" and "Fior di Bosco", chosen by Bonesi Marmi. Natural light, amplified by the large ribbon windows and terraces, is enhanced by an integrated lighting design that combines aesthetics and technology.

Light as a design material

The lighting, designed by ArchitetturaLuce - Mantova, is conceived as a true design material. Curved ceiling profiles by Viabizzuno and recessed spotlights define paths and focal points, while integrated LED lights in the furnishings create soft and dramatic atmospheres. A large brass suspension by Baxter illuminates the marble dining table, becoming a central sculptural element. The entire interior design projects reflects the fluid and organic spirit of Zaha Hadid's architecture, reinterpreted with a contemporary vision that combines aesthetics, comfort, and technology: an example of architectural projects where space and form become one.
