Casa in Brianza is the project of a villa with essential aesthetics and generous spaces that open up towards the garden, absorbing its beauty

Linear Aesthetics and Dematerialized Boundaries

Studio Gerosa, which deals with engineering and architecture projects, design, and urban planning, is commissioned by the client to create a single-level villa with a service basement. Casa in Brianza nestles on the elongated lot with its linear and clean aesthetics, dematerialized boundaries welcoming the outdoors, and a solid perimeter structure, the only load-bearing one, anchoring it to the ground

The efficient garden with delicate beauty

Landscape designer Valerio Cozzi collaborates on the project with Andrea Gerosa, architect, and Franco Gerosa, architect and engineer, designing a garden with delicate beauty that constantly offers its healing and relaxing effect to the inhabitants. Hedges and blooms surround Casa in Brianza designed for minimal water consumption and reuse of rainwater. The exteriors are crowned by the 10x4 meter infinity pool lined with elegant and natural travertine that serves as the flooring for the entire outdoor area

Indoor Environments

The large glass facade of the living room, facing northeast, overlooks the pool and garden, making them the protagonists of the space. The sleeping area is located in the southwest area, with its three suites with private bathrooms and dressing room or closet. The entrance is centrally positioned between the two wings of the house and is served by a cloakroom and guest bathroom; from here you can access the staircase to the basement and the study also connected to the living room. In the basement, there are the technical rooms, the garage, and a library illuminated by an external patio

Materials and Technologies

The focus on energy saving and renewable sources is paramount: the pedestrian entrance offers the opportunity of a solar panel patio that enhances the sustainability of the house. The essentiality of shapes and materials is sought after in every surface, including the bronzed aluminum roof and the load-bearing perimeter walls in reinforced concrete finished with hand-polished plaster. The interiors, characterized by the natural tones of wood and light walls, are rich in architectural geometry and custom-designed furniture
