Modern Osteria. Once upon a time there was the osteria, and it still exists.

The new restaurant project designed by architect Emanuele Svetti of Studio Svetti Architecture in Arezzo is called Osteria Moderna and conceptually aims to be a modern tavern for travelers. Key elements of the project are color and material.

An experience that connects tradition and modernity

The restaurant renovation project proposed by Studio Svetti Architecture in Arezzo (Italy) aims to transform a traditional Italian tavern into a modern and welcoming environment, while still respecting the historical essence of the place. As in many of the interior design projects that characterize Emanuele Svetti's works, the goal is to create a space that balances the rustic charm of taverns with contemporary design elements, using natural materials such as wood and concrete, combined with modern details in metal and glass.

The warm and earthy color palette, the traditional Italian kitchens

In the case of Osteria Moderna, the color was the starting point, a chromatic shade dear to the city: amaranth, in its particular shade of red, warm and enveloping, which manifests itself inside the venue in a "full-color" mode, with the same impetus as a fearless heart.

Fluid layout for a short break or comfortable stay

In morphology, as in the distribution of spaces, there is a reference to the traditional tavern. As it used to happen in the past, even at the Modern Tavern, you are welcomed in the "serving" area, which today, as it did back then, acts as a filter between those who want to stop for a short break and those who are looking for a place to sit comfortably.

An intimate and welcoming atmosphere, both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Through a system of metal partitions, designed by the studio, you then access the restaurant area, where you can enjoy a meal in an elegant and refined atmosphere, characterized by the uniform color of the environment onto which metallic elements and concrete inserts are integrated, almost like engravings, with a calibrated use.
Outside, a patio space allows guests to be seated outdoors during the warmer seasons, with furnishings that recall the interior design but in a more understated and restrained manner.
