A renovation project that combines two apartments into a single dwelling with a perfect balance between comfort, functionality, and respect for the Mediterranean landscape.

A project of union and continuity

The project stems from the need to merge two adjacent apartments into a single dwelling capable of meeting the new needs for comfort and functionality. The intervention involved a complete restructuring of the spaces, with a full renovation of systems, finishes, and internal layout. The custom design of the furnishings, especially the kitchen, helped to define a coherent and unified language. The main objective was to merge two distinct environments into a continuous architectural organism, without sacrificing the spatial quality of the individual areas.

Light, functionality, and comfort

The new internal layout has been designed to optimize movement flows, improve livability, and enhance the perception of space. Natural light becomes a design element, guiding the visual connection between the living and sleeping areas. Material and color choices - light tones, natural surfaces, and light textures - amplify the sense of openness and continuity, helping to create a harmonious and bright home environment.

The kitchen as the heart of the home

Central to the project, the kitchen is conceived as a place for gathering and conviviality. Custom-made, it reflects the desire to combine aesthetics and functionality, interacting with the rest of the house through consistent materials and careful details. The integration between the dining area and living room promotes the relationship between spaces and creates an intimate yet open domestic dimension, where each element finds its natural place.

A context-sensitive intervention

The renovation of the house carried out by Studio TECNE blends into the landscape of the Island of Elba with balance and discretion, in harmony with the Mediterranean climate and the surrounding environment. The use of cross ventilation, the choice of materials compatible with the island context, and the use of natural colors all contribute to defining a welcoming and sustainable atmosphere. Every design choice, from furniture layout to finish selection, reflects the identity of the place and enhances its unique light.

From an aesthetic point of view, the project stands out for its compositional balance and attention to detail.
