Villa Go Faste, between nature and modernity

In the heart of the Touquet forest, a contemporary villa replaces a dwelling without architectural quality, reinterpreting traditional codes and blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.

A project rooted in the landscape

The Villa Go Faste is located in the landscape of the forêt du Touquet, in a natural context of great value. The project, designed by Alain Demarquette Architecte, involves replacing a traditional villa of no particular distinction with a contemporary residence that is sensitive to its surroundings. Similar to the original construction, the building is positioned at the center of the plot, preserving the tall trees that characterize the land as much as possible.

Articulated spaces around the living room

The residence is developed in three distinct parts. In the center, there is a spacious double-height living room, bright and open, which becomes the focal point of domestic life. On the sides, the service spaces and sleeping areas are articulated, designed according to solar orientation and views of the landscape. The large vertical stone walls define the volumes and create continuity between the interiors and exteriors, extending into the garden through landscaping treatments.

Materials and references to tradition

While declaring itself contemporary, the villa incorporates some codes of local architecture. A clear vertical stratification of materials distinguishes the volumes: the lower part is treated with light-colored plaster, while the upper levels are clad in flat tiles of a darker tone. This material play recalls tradition, while maintaining a current and refined architectural language, in line with other architecture projects that interact with the natural context.

Light, nature, and sustainability

Large openings connect the interiors with the outdoors, providing a feeling of living immersed in nature. The generous overhangs and the sun shading systems on the south facade not only enliven the facades but also respond to the bioclimatic needs of contemporary design. The villa thus becomes an example of current architecture, capable of combining aesthetics, comfort, and sustainability.
