The restyling project of the orthodontic studio designed by architect Gianluca Pitaccolo transforms a medical environment into a warm and comfortable space, blending natural materials, neutral palettes, and soft shapes to promote well-being and tranquility.
Reception as a design concept
The renovation stems from the desire to move away from the cold and sterile imagery typical of dental offices. The environment is reimagined by the Interior Garage studio, as a place of well-being and relationships, where warm materials, soft surfaces, and calibrated light create a cozy atmosphere. The project aims to focus on the patient's comfort, providing a sense of tranquility starting from the entrance and waiting areas, which become true welcoming spaces.
Circular Layout and Textured Palette
The refunctionalization of spaces occurs through a fluid layout, without visual barriers, which enhances the perception of continuity and lightness. White and black define a neutral palette, capable of enhancing the warmth of walnut wood, the character of brass, and the transparency of glass. This combination of materials and luminous contrasts generates a sense of controlled harmony, useful for reducing tensions and anxieties in patients.
Custom furnishings and calibrated transparencies
Furnishings, designed to measure, draw soft and organic geometries that help make the environments more fluid and welcoming. Transparencies are carefully dosed to ensure privacy without sacrificing natural brightness. In this context, interior design projects interact with architecture to create essential, refined, and functional spaces, where every detail is designed to delicately accompany the patient.
Natural greenery and spaces dedicated to children
Evergreen plants play a fundamental role, introduced not only for aesthetic reasons but to promote a relaxing visual and sensory microclimate. The greenery also becomes a soft separation element between areas dedicated to adults and those for children, where playful and functional furnishings invite play and exploration. The presence of nature thus contributes to completing an environment that aims to redefine the very concept of a medical office.
