The Citadel fortification, located on the top of Gellert Hill in Budapest, Hungary, is transformed and extended in order to represent a culturally and physically emblematic place of the city
The structural constraint of the extension is the roof geometry, and the morphology of the roof shell fits into this environment. The entire interior of the fortress is redesigned, including an open-air theater, a hotel, renovated tourist sites, a memorial museum, and a series of stores
