Nani Palace in Venice: from historic residence to luxury hotel

The historic residence Palazzo Nani, a noble building from the sixteenth century overlooking the Cannaregio Canal in Venice, is now a Radisson Collection Hotel, a five-star luxury property. This project, overseen by Studio Marco Piva for interior design, Venice Plan for architecture and site management, and Sirecon for restoration, was carried out under the supervision of the Superintendence for Fine Arts and Landscape for the Municipality of Venice, ensuring the preservation of the property's historical value.

Hospitality and luxury

The Radisson Collection Hotel Palazzo Nani Venice represents the fourth Italian property of the prestigious Radisson Collection Hotel brand. The hotel redefines the concept of luxury, combining artistic heritage with an aesthetic research that integrates high-level design with the emotional and social value of the work. The renovation project has preserved the historical and artistic value of the Palazzo, emphasizing the original structures and floorings and enhancing the frescoes with a skillful use of light. During the works, historical objects and documents were found that testify to the palace's previous lives, some of which have been integrated into the furnishings of the rooms and the garden.

Elegant interiors that celebrate history

The interiors have been designed to offer a unique experience, respecting and celebrating the history of the building. The rooms and suites, each different from the other, are divided into various categories, including standard, premium, junior suite, and a prestigious Presidential Suite. Each room is characterized by high ceilings, original frescoes, and exposed beams that immerse guests in a Renaissance atmosphere. The interior design recalls the original architectural features of the palace, such as the arches of the facade, and uses precious materials that reflect Venetian aesthetics, such as velvets, Rubelli fabrics, and marbles with strong veins.

An integration work between past and present

The intervention by Studio Marco Piva focused on the integration between the history of Palazzo Nani and the needs of a modern luxury hotel. The furnishings, almost entirely custom-made, were designed not to alter the historic walls and to conceal the electrical systems, while the color and material choices recall Venetian traditions. The common areas, such as the restaurant, the secret garden, and the lounge bar, were designed to be enjoyed not only by guests but also by visitors, offering a refined welcome.

The rooms and suites offer a stay experience that combines historical charm with modern comfort, ensuring a cultured residentiality linked to tourism, art, and history that meets the needs and services of the 21st century.
